I am very impressed with how well made and functional this tempura frying pot is, and I highly recommend it. The package also arrived quickly, which is impressive since it ships from Japan.
I purchased it to make chicken karaage and french fries instead of using an air fryer. The build quality of the pot, lid, and thermometer is solid. Just keep in mind the size of the pot is petite because french fries from 1 large potato and karaage from four chicken thighs took frying in 4 batches. To provide some context, these food items are from Costco, and their size is usually larger. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it for a family of three.
Excellent quality.
I’m very disappointed with this product and do not know what to do with it. I only used it once and oil splattered everywhere. I normally use a pot with higher sides and a Frywall, which keeps my stovetop much cleaner. The instructions say not to use this pan any other way. Why can’t I just use it as a regular pan? I do not want to encounter the mess again as when I used this pan as a fryer.

Fabulous little pot. Just used it for the first time and it’s perfect. The pot is much heavier than I thought which is fabulous. Extremely well made. Highly recommend it
A well-designed item that I am sure will make making my own tempura at home a delight. I especially like the combination lid/draining rack. One thing to be aware of, and the reason I only gave 4 stars: the included fairly extensive instructions are ONLY in Japanese, and some of the supposedly universal graphic notices are less than clear. I would really like to have these instructions in English.

This is an excellent fryer! I used it to make tonkatsu and it turned out perfect due to the built-in thermometer. This is so convenient for a novice cook. Definitely recommend.
Been eyeing this deep frying pot for a while now; finally decided to take the plunge and go for this one that's made in Japan. Received it in perfect condition, and the quality is really A+! Added a beautiful furoshiki cloth and bamboo cooking utensils to complete the experience. Speedy delivery made it all worthwhile. ❤️ Bento&Co is truly my go-to for all things Japanese 🎌
It's just fantastic!!! Thanks to the thermometer, I knew for sure that the temperature was right. The compact size is more than adequate for our family of two. This is the first time I've fried chicken this way and it worked!

Tempura Fry Pan with Lid I have never cooked tempura before I purchased this pan. It was easy to use and my family loved what I had cooked with this pan. The round edge prevents from oil splashing so no. worries. I am so glad I bought it:)
Great little pan. Nice size and weight. I have been using the pan to prepare Tonkatsu and have found the wire rack built into the lid and the attachable thermometer to be fantastic features.
