It is with immense pleasure that we have been welcoming you since April 2012 to this iconic city, recognized worldwide for its cultural heritage and refined gastronomy. Located in the heart of Kyoto, we are proud to offer you a unique experience to discover the world of bento and the Japanese art of living.
Following the success of our online store, we wanted to create a place where you could touch, see, and choose your favorite products in person. Whether you are a Kyoto resident or a tourist passing through, come visit us for a total immersion in Japanese authenticity.
The Bento&co store is appreciated by locals, as well as by visitors passing through this city we love so much.
We work on the upper floor of the store, so don't hesitate to drop by; we are always very happy to meet our customers!

Our store is a true treasure trove for enthusiasts of Japanese culture, and bento in particular. We primarily focus on everything that makes bento so special:
- Bento Boxes: From traditional to modern designs, including insulated and kids' models, magewappa wooden boxes, Totoro or Pokémon boxes – there's something for everyone, all made in Japan, of course!
- Bento Accessories: Dividers, onigiri molds, carrying bags, reusable cutlery, chopsticks, and much more to personalize and simplify your bento preparation.
- Furoshiki: Discover our wide range of these beautiful traditional Japanese wrapping cloths. We offer various sizes, perfect for wrapping a bento, serving as an extra bag, or even as wall decor. Most of our furoshiki are made right here in Kyoto, perpetuating local craftsmanship.
- Small Selection of Japanese Kitchenware: Quality items made in Japan to equip your kitchen.
- Matcha Tea Products: Explore a selection of quality products for a gourmet and serene break.

- Hotel Shipping: Not passing through Kyoto? We can ship your purchases directly to your hotel in Tokyo or Osaka (next-day delivery on weekdays if in stock).
- Multilingual Team: Some members of our team fluently speak Japanese, English, Spanish, Italian, or French to offer you the best possible service and answer all your questions.
Practical Information and Access to the Store
Our store is ideally located on the ground floor of our offices, in the heart of Kyoto. We are just a few steps from the famous Nishiki Market and the vibrant Teramachi shopping arcade. It's the perfect place for a shopping break after exploring these iconic sites!
Right in front of our store, you'll find a 7-Eleven where you can exchange currency if needed, although we accept credit card payments.
