Las muñecas Kokeshi , que fueron juguetes infantiles en el Japón del siglo XIX, han evolucionado hasta convertirse en preciadas piezas de colección admiradas en todo el mundo.
Esta encantadora pieza, elaborada por los hábiles artesanos de Usaburo Studio en la prefectura de Gunma, encarna la tradición a través del personaje de ojizosan , el boddhisatva que protege a los niños.
Este ojizosan, que suele encontrarse como estatua cerca de santuarios y en senderos para caminatas, tiene el kanji para “bodhissatva feliz” ( shiawase jizô ) pintado a mano en su vientre, un símbolo de buena fortuna y alegría, lo que lo convierte en un regalo o recuerdo perfecto.
Con su forma redondeada y presencia serena, este kokeshi hecho a mano aportará calidez y significado a cualquier hogar o colección.
