A masterpiece of one of our favorite Japanese craftsmen Mr. Hasehira, the Miyama Bento Box 323 | Sen showcases the natural beauty of Sen (Castor Aralia).

Sen, a wood native to Japan, is used for taiko drums, Japanese furniture and interiors. This beautiful bento box features a beautiful wavy pattern down the length of the box.
Please note: This bento box has a minor cosmetic scratch on the lid, which can occasionally occur due to the aging process used on these rare types of wood. Please see the last photo for a close up of it.

The Story

One day, a Miyama woodworker named Mr. Hasehira saw Bento&co featured on national TV, and was inspired to make bento boxes of his own! When we saw his results, we were thrilled. Mr. Hasehira continues to hand make these limited edition bento boxes, and we are honored to be able to sell them on our shop exclusively.
