Gel CooMa features a cute, yet cool, design of a polar bear, or shiro kuma , on the lid. Gel CooMa comes from "cool" and kuma, meaning bear, so "cool bear"!

Each box has an ice pack built right into the lid to keep your lunch cool too!

Gel CooMa boxes are the official bento boxes of the Maruyama Zoo in Sapporo. A portion of the proceeds from every Gel CooMa box goes towards caring for the polar bears there!

How to use:

  • At least 8 hours before needed, place the lid of the box in the freezer to allow the inner ice pack to freeze.
  • For hot foods, cool the food before placing the lid on. If you put the lid on while the food is still hot, the cooling effect will be significantly reduced and it may create a vacuum seal effect, making the lid harder to open.
