Enjoy fresh spring produce in the style of Japanese “Tsukemono” with the Asazuke no Moto - Instant Pickle Seasoning. Great side with rice, miso shiru and some fish.

 How to use:

  • Use 1 packet of Asazuke no Moto and 200 grams of vegetables (this can be 2 turnips, or 1/4 of daikon, or 1/8 of Napa Cabbage or 2 Japanese/Persian Cucumbers)
  • Wash vegetables and cut them up (turnips and daikon=2mm half circles, Napa cabbage=2-3cm slices,Cucumber=5mm slices)
  • Add to a ziplock bag along with the packet of Asazuke no Moto
  • Massage vegetables so that the Asazuke no Moto is distributed well
  • Remove excess air from ziplock bag, close and place in refrigerator for 30 min
  • Drain excess liquid and gently squeeze vegetables. Enjoy!
  • For extra flavor, add dried chili pepper, chopped shiso, ginger, or myoga
