Need a little more room? This 18cm version of the classic Yukihira Nabe offers extra capacity while keeping the same lightweight feel and quick heating. It's perfect for preparing soups, noodles, or small-batch stews with authentic Japanese style.

Made in Japan.
Matching lid sold separately.
    Details & Care
    • Capacity: 1.6 liters
    • Dimensions: 18 cm (7") diameter
    • Materials: 18-0 stainless steel with natural beech wood handle
    • Lid is sold separately.
    • Works on gas, halogen, electric, radiant and induction (200V compatible) stoves!

    Care Instructions:

    • Hand wash and dry promptly.
    • Avoid dishwasher to protect the wood handle and shiny finish.
    • If you notice any mineral scale or rainbow tint (common with stainless steel over time), use a bit of vinegar in water and boil to clean it.
    • This pot is robust, but try not to bang it or drop it – the hammered design hides minor dings well, but care will keep it looking new.

    Usage Tips:

    • When using on gas, make sure flames don’t lick the sides too much (this prevents overheating the handle).
    • For thick sauces or curries, stir often as these pots are thin and can scorch thick foods if left unattended (they’re best for broths, water-based dishes, and light stews).
    Our Favorite Things
    • Larger capacity for more recipes: This 18 cm Yukihira Nabe offers about 1.6 L capacity, giving you extra room to cook hot pot soups, stews, or larger portions of noodles. It’s the same beloved design as our 16 cm version, just scaled up for family-sized cooking while still being lightweight and easy to maneuver.
    • Quick, even heating: The signature hammered stainless steel surface conducts heat efficiently, so water boils in no time and broths simmer evenly. Despite the larger size, it remains a lightweight cookware piece, so handling a full pot won’t strain your wrist. Perfect for quickly preparing morning miso soup or a weeknight one-pot dish.
    • All-stove compatible: Like its smaller sibling, this Yukihira works on induction, gas, electric, and halogen stovetops. The base is flat and makes good contact, especially important for induction users wanting a reliable Japanese saucepan.
    • Stay-cool wooden handle: The natural wood handle on this 18 cm pot is slightly longer for balance, and it keeps cool to touch. Even with more volume, you can confidently lift and pour using the handle without burns. It’s attached securely so you can lift the pot when full of liquid with no flex.
    • Multi-purpose functionality: Beyond soups and boiling tasks, use this versatile pot for deep frying small batches (tempura for one or two), stewing veggies, or even making oatmeal and sauces. It’s truly an essential pot for any kitchen, blending the roles of saucepan, small stockpot, and frying vessel.
