Enjoy a crisp salad on the side or some cold noodles in the summer with the Gel Cooma Round Salad Case featuring an adorable polar bear!

The name of this nifty box is a play on words, combining "cool" with "kuma", the Japanese name for bear! Fun fact, a percentage of the sales from the Gel COOma Collection go towards caring for the polar bears at Maruyama Zoo in Hokkaido!.

Designed by researchers in Hokkaido, this simple transparent case includes an ice pack in the lid, as well as a strainer at the bottom, to keep your veggies fresh and crisp until lunch time.

Just pop the lid the freezer the day before using (or for a minimum of 8 hours), and keep your food fresh for about 4 hours. The removable inner tray is convenient to store your toppings separately.

Made in Hokkaido, Japan.

What We Love About It:

  • Minimalist and Fun - With a transparent container and a white and black lid, this salad case will complement any bento box with style. Plus, the adorable polar bear face will be sure to bring a smile to your face at lunch time.
  • Practical and Ergonomic - The inner tray is removable to adapt to your lunch needs while the signature Gel-Cool lid with an in-built ice pack and the bottom strainer keep your food fresh no matter the season.

Details & Care

  • Volume: 400 ml (220ml for the container, 140ml for the inner tray)
  • Dimensions: 12 x 7.8 cm
  • Material: polyester resin (body), ABS resin (lid), rubber (gasket)

How to use:

  • At least 8 hours before needed, place the lid of the box in the freezer to allow the inner ice pack to freeze.
  • For hot foods, cool the food before placing the lid on. If you put the lid on while the food is still hot, the cooling effect will be significantly reduced and it may create a vacuum seal effect, making the lid harder to open.
