Designed by Cochae, a creative duo based in Okayama, this furoshiki brings together auspicious sea legends, regional folk tales, and yōkai (Japanese spirits) in a lively, contemporary style. Thirteen different stories inspired by the sea are woven into the design, featuring fishermen, mythical creatures, heroic figures, and fantastical marine beings drawn from traditional Japanese storytelling.

Made from lightweight organic cotton, it's ideal for wrapping gift boxes, wine bottles, bento lunches, or for tying into a casual tote-style bag. The packaging itself reflects the spirit of the design, combining English and Japanese text with a modern folk-art aesthetic, and includes explanations of the featured tales on the back.
