Using a special technology developed by Hokkaido University researchers, Gel-Cool bento boxes feature ice packs built directly into its lids.
Completely encased, the ice pack can maintain lower temperatures than a standard cool pack exposed to air.
To use, simply pop the lid into the freezer the night before use. After use, simply wash and dry, and then store inside the freezer for next use.
