Panda Sando | Heart
The Panda Sando | Heart allows you to easily create heart-shaped pocket sandwiches!
What is a pocket sandwich? It's basically a sandwich with sealed edges! Cute and easy to eat, especially for small children, they are very popular in Japan, and are sold at supermarkets and convenience stores (konbini).
The Panda Sando is a two-part sandwich maker/cutter. To use, make a sandwich with two slices of soft sandwich bread, making sure the filling is only in the middle and doesn't extend all the way to the edges of the bread. Place the sandwich in between the two parts, and press hard. You'll get a sandwich that is sealed all around the edges, which can be eaten as-is or lightly toasted in a toaster oven. (You can also try toasting the bread before cutting it if you don't have a toaster oven.) You can also fold a single slice of bread in half and sealing the edges.
And rest assured, there are clear illustrative step-by-step photos on the box.
P.S Curious about the name? The punny name "Panda" of course refers to the adorable animal and also comes from the Japanese word for "bread" (pan) and "is" (da), meaning "it's bread!"
Tip: To help the edges seal, microwave the bread on high for a few seconds, to make it slightly moist.
