From our great wooden boxes collection Kyo Bento box and Edo Bento box, we are now proud to offer you another genuine wooden bento box, the Nara Bento.
Nara Bento box is a beautiful, single tier bento box. It is made of wood from the harigiri (kaloponax) tree called "sen". The slightly open grain of the wood and the warm reddish-brown color adds to its natural charm.
The box is hand made by skilled artisans in Aizu Wakamatsu, an area known for wooden boxes.
The box is finished with food grade polyurethane to show off the wood to its best advantage.
Nara (奈良）was the first capital of Japan, from 710 to 784 A.D. Many ancient buildings from that time are still preserved today in the modern city of Nara, for everyone to enjoy.
If you visit Japan, Nara is a great side trip from Kyoto!
The Nara Bento Box comes wrapped in Japanese washi paper and packaged in a beautiful presentation box - perfect for gift giving.
We recommend using a furoshiki wrapping cloth for wrapping and transporting this bento box.
Capacity: 450 ml.
Dimensions: 18.2 cm long x 11.4 cm wide x 5.3 cm high (7.1" x 4.5" x 2.1").
