Miyama Bento Box 156 | Kainoki

A masterpiece of one of our favorite Japanese craftsmen Mr. Asehira, the Miyama Bento Box 156 | Kainoki showcases the natural beauty of Kainoki (Chinese Pistache).

Handcrafted in Miyama (美山 'beautiful mountain'), a center of traditional crafts.

The Story
One day, a Miyama woodworker named Mr. Asehira saw Bento&co featured on local TV, and was inspired to make bento boxes of his own! When we saw his results, we were thrilled. Mr. Asehira continues to hand make these limited edition bento boxes, and we are honored to be able to sell them on our shop exclusively.

Made from Kainoki (Chinese Pistache)
Naturally dried over 5 years. Preserved in a rustic condition to showcase the wood's unique personality.
