A new type of curry has emerged, making waves amongst home-cooks here in Japan! The Honbiki Curry | Medium Spicy is a unique powder type roux that allows you to make a delicious, spice-filled Japanese curry in a matter of minutes, and with fewer calories than standard Japanese curries at that!

Instructions for 2-3 servings

  1. Dice one onion, and cut 200grams of chicken or pork (or protein of your choice) into bite-size pieces
  2. Saute onion and meat on high heat for 4 minutes. Lower heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes.
  3. Turn off heat and add 300mL of water and one packet of Honbiki Curry | Medium Spicy
  4. Simmer curry mixture on low to medium heat while stirring for 5 minutes.
Done! (Note when doubling/increasing the recipe, you may need to cook the onion and meat for 5min~ longer)
