The Cochae Musubi Series features auspicious Japanese motifs and famous landmarks arranged playfully by Okayama based design duo, Cochae. The exposed pattern changes depending on the wrapping method, to whimsical effect!

The Cochae Furoshiki Musubi | Dorobo & Shishimai 48cm is a square cotton furoshiki featuring contrasting shishimai (lion dance) and 'thief' motifs. In Japanese culture, shishimai is a dance focused around a lion-like creature that drives away evil spirits. This face is featured opposite a stereotypical Dorobo (thief) motif, which usually includes a man with a hokkamuri bandana and furoshiki wrapped to disguise his face.
