Eco-friendly and beautiful, furoshiki are traditional Japanese cloths that can be used to wrap bento boxes, gifts, wine bottles and more. During the 1920s, a fabric called meisen, which incorporated colorful designs in a traditional Kasuri weave, was all the rage amongst the Japanese "modern girl". The Modern Girl Furoshiki 70cm | Beige Konpeito is inspired by this charming, retro aesthetic.
What we love about it:
- Cute print of "konpeito", traditional Japanese sugar candies (that make an appearance in My Neighbor Totoro!) on a beige background.
- Size works well to wrap large or picnic-sized bento box
