Japan is famous for its four amazing seasons, beautiful winters, stunning springs, hot summers and breathtaking autumns. But did you know that we actually have 24 different seasons here in Japan? Sekkis, based on the movement of the sun, is the name of these mini seasons. Each season celebrates something unique that is happening at that specific time, and is a quite beautiful in capturing the slow tide of time. With this series of Bento Boxes we want to celebrate each and every one of these seasons, with its own box. Each box showcase stunning artwork capturing the season at hand. Consider this bento as much a art piece as lunch box!

This Bento celebrates Soukou 霜降 which is the season when frost descents on Japan, starting from October 23, what else happens during this season, something very western even! Halloween of course - this lid is therefore filled with cute little ghosts out haunting the autumn away !
To create the beautiful lid, a textile with the pattern printed on it is forced on to the lid using a special technique, resulting in a beautiful art like depiction. The box itself features two layers, one upper with a larger capacity and a smaller lower. Each compartment comes with its own lid to keep foods fresh. A matching elastic bento band is also included. Simply a great Bento box to enjoy both meals and experience the Japanese seasons.
