Miyama Bento Box 122 | Tochi Wood

The Miyama Bento 122, part of our exclusive Miyama Collection, is the masterpiece of one of our favorite Japanese craftsmen, Mr. Asehira.

Product Description

The story:

After seeing a piece about Bento&co on TV in Japan, a furniture maker from Miyama (a small town in the north of Kyoto Prefecture), decided to have his hand at manufacturing bento boxes. After several attempts to perfect his boxes, a satisfied Mr. Asehira presented his best boxes to us - and we were floored by the result!

These boxes are all one of a kind and utilize premium wood that has been naturally dried over the course of 5 years. The Japanese tochi (chestnut) wood these boxes are produced with is rare and usually used exclusively in traditional Japanese furniture. These boxes provide a unique opportunity to own a masterpiece.
