Bento Weekend 16 results: Halloween Bento!

BOO! w(゚o゚)w

Yay! Halloween is coming! Ghosts, goblins, robots, chefs; you can be whatever you want on that day… and so can your bento! So that's why, in preparation for this special day, we had a Halloween Bento-themed Bento Weekend! (^-^) We got many great submissions! Check them out below! But be forewarned! They are very scary! "<{O□O}>" (-_^)

Our first submission is from Lilith. It has a spread of guacamole and black olive tapenade. The fingers are vegan sausages and the nails are almonds, and finally the eyes are almond paste! And it's in the one of our very cute Jiji Bento Boxes.

Very cute and imaginative! Well done, Lilith! (^-^)

Next is from our friend Karen Wee. It's a "Hello Kitty Witch & Hello Kitty Pumpkin". Both Kitty-chan are made from mashed potato. The pumpkin costume is made from mashed carrot & potato, and nori, and the witch hat is made from nori & cheese. ^_^

Very nice, Karen. Kitty-chan as a witch and pumpkin is very funny. (^-^)

Next we have a bento from Lau-Lotte. It is made of of fried rice with ketchup, cheese, nori, omelet, kimpira, pumpkin, carrot, meatballs, ketchup, and surimi.

Love the house, Lau-Lotte! Thanks! (^-^)

And here is one from Sara. It has shiso rice with cheese and nori figures, marshmallow ghosts, gyoza and lemon, snow peas and tomato, a chessboard of apple and grapes, tamagoyaki, sweet potato and a kabocha pumpkin mash, shaped as a pumpkin itself! Wow! (^-^) And she did it all in our Zen 01

Very cool, Sarah. I love the pumpkin! A pumpkin made of pumpkin! That's great!

Here's a bento from Noemie. Her bento is an angry black cat with black rice with smoked salmon and white wine with mimosa and emmental for eyes, teeth, and paws, mashed pumpkin and potato with sour cream, grated cheese, and cumin! Also, she has a mummy and some eye balls in there.

Very scary, Noemie! Good job!

And finally we have a eyeball bento made of olives from Carolina in a Magewappa Koban.

Very creepy! Well done, Carolina!

Well, that was really some amazing Halloween bento from our Bento Weekend participants! Very good job, everybody!

So, you all out there, if you have time this Halloween, make your own and send it to us. We'd love to see! And if not, join us for the next Bento Weekend.

By sending us your photos to yourbento@bentoandco.com. The best will be published on the blog, and all participants will receive a voucher for 15% off! ヽ (^ ^ Д) ノ

We'd love it if you'd send us pictures of bento made in our boxes, and we can publish on our website!

Finally, just a reminder that every month we select the best recipe for bento—attach your photo a detailed explanation on making your bento, the selected recipe will appear on the blog, on social networks and even in the newsletter!

So all you out there, have a great Halloween! Muhahaha! w(゚o゚)w
