Since we are talking about sandwich bento for school lunches here, I am excited to share with you another sandwich bento creation.
Just like my earlier sandwich bento post (Teatime Teddy Bear Sandwich Bento), this bento features a character made from mashed potato. This time, it is Miffy!
Miffy is riding a racing car (it is the Formula One Grand Prix season now at where I live) and driving to the finishing line!
If you love packing sandwiches, you got to make sure you own a sandwich bento box. The boxes are designed to be foldable and the gaps at the sides allow your sandwiches to ‘breathe’ and helps prevent them from turning soggy.
The ingredients were:
- Miffy (mashed potato, seaweed)
- Racing car (hotdog bun, chocolate sauce, mini oreo cookies, carrot jam, carrot, egg sheet, cucumber slice)
- Spectators and spectator stand (red mini sausages, cheese, seaweed, bento picks, ham, egg sheet, hotdog bun, lettuce, broccoli)

Hello :) I am Shirley, a bento artist/chef and blogger. I started making bento back in 2011 as getting lunch was very inconvenient at work, and in 2012 my blog, Little Miss Onigiri was born. Bento making is a passion that I am fond of, and excited about. My head is often bursting with ideas on what to make. Even when I visit the supermarkets, I often imagine what I can make out of an ingredient or food product. Character bentos are my forte, but I also enjoy making usual bento lunches, bread, sweets and other decorative food items. If you like kawaii and and fun creations, I am sure you will enjoy my blog postings. I will continue to do my best and thanks for staying with me.
