Kiiroitori Pancake Bento
A cheery pancake bento to start the day!
Kiiroitori is the yellow chick character from the popular Rilakkuma San-X series. But the highlight for me was the mini pancakes that I made! Aren’t they cute?
I had pancake dough in a piping bag and pipe small round circles in a lightly buttered non-stick pan. I ate the pancakes when it was cooled, but it was still yummy! So pancakes are actually still great for bento.
Drizzle on some honey and the bento will be a great breakfast. As some of you might not be as keen on rice-based bento, do try out pancakes sometime too! Kiiroitori was made from mashed potato. The facial features were made from carrot and seaweed.
This breakfast bento was packed in a Magewappa Maru bento box. Love the box too!!
Shirley - Bento specialist, Singapore
Hello :) I am Shirley, a bento artist/chef and blogger. I started making bento back in 2011 as getting lunch was very inconvenient at work, and in 2012 my blog, Little Miss Bento was born. Bento making is a passion that I am fond of, and excited about. My head is often bursting with ideas on what to make. Even when I visit the supermarkets, I often imagine what I can make out of an ingredient or food product. Character bentos are my forte, but I also enjoy making usual bento lunches, bread, sweets and other decorative food items. If you like kawaii and and fun creations, I am sure you will enjoy my blog postings. I will continue to do my best and thanks for staying with me.
