Mouth Watering Anime From Studio Ghibli Animator Koji Aritomi

Posted by Adrian Sossna on

Kofi Aritomi, one of the animators from famous Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, My neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke among others) has partnered up with Japan Agriculture’s Kumamoto division to make this amazing little video showcasing some of the amazing produce that Japan produces - don't you just wish you could try some of this tasty food? It's just mouth watering isn't it?

Like the song in the background? Well its a bit of a pun! The name of the restaurant in the video is Nikoyaka. Ni for Niku, meat in Japanese, Ko for Kome which means rice and finally yaka from yasai which means vegetables. Japanese sure likes wordplays!

And yes Japanese animals are that happy (●♡∀♡)!
