Coming-of-Age Day in Japan

Yesterday was Coming-of-Age Day in Japan. Those who turned 20 during the previous year or will do so before March 31 this year are celebrated. To mark the occasion, women traditionally wear “furisode” kimono (only single women wear them in Japan), while most young men wear montsuki haori hakama., but usually opt for just regular suits.
