Time for Bento fans to shine
It's that time of the year again ! Our international bento cooking contest (Chef Bento) has begun and bento cooks from all over the world are probably trying to figure out the best submission right at this very moment. Well let's be honest, we can't wait to see all your pics folks.. ( ˃̶ω˂̶ ૃ)
But actually, all participants who haven't submitted their bento yet should take a few time and have a look at the previous laureates: there is so much to learn about cooking and photography in these few pics!
Back to the future ...
Neutral background and mosaic-like composition for the very first winner of our annual event.
This gorgeous bento was inspired by Japanese traditional shokado as you can see them in ryokan and restaurants. Well-thought simplicity and Art of details are some options you could bank on for your submission! :)
Kyaraben is a bento and cooking speciality that can be fastidious and hard to master at time. And it will always needs perfect accompaniment to go with. This is not something easy to complete but when correctly done...Woaw ⸂⸂⸜(രᴗര๑)⸝⸃⸃
Another cute and amazing example of well-done kyaraben, this time with a focus on side dishes and plenty of colorful ingredients. This is definitively the work of a passionate (and skilled) bento lover. Astonishing!
What an epic bento! This is why you want to learn and practice ingredients harmonisation: mind-blowing result with fresh and simple ideas!

This one is packed in a traditional box with an overall feeling of japanese cooking and yet the ingredients are quite western-style! This create a very nice contrast and looks scrumptious. Beware to not overdo it though! :)

And now, last but not least, the first prize for last year - thanks to which bonita had the opportunity to come visit us and Kyoto! Photo skills, cooking talent, colors and style: everything is done to perfection and we were literally stunned when we received her submission.
