What is a tenugui ?

A Tenugui is a piece of cloth made of cotton, with different patterns and colors. Tenugui literally means “something to wipe your hands on” but today, they are dozens of creative ways to use it : decoration, table runner, hair band, dish towel or wrapping cloth like a Furoshiki.

    - Tomoni ikiru (共に生きる) which means "live together"

These two Tenugui have been made in Sendaï, in Tohoku area, by a trisomic calligraphy female artist, Kanazawa Shouko.
