Tamagoyaki, a sweet-salty egg omelette, is a fixture of traditional Japanese bento boxes. The Tamagoyaki Set lets you make tamagoyaki in 3 different shapes with ease!
The Tamagoyaki Set consists of three silicone molds that you can use in on flat, non-stick cooking surface. Just place the mold on the heated surface (such as a frying pan), pour in the beaten egg mixture, cook, and voilà - perfect tamagoyaki! You can use the molds for making pancakes too. A little spatula is also included.
The Tamagoyaki Set consists of 4 items:
- 1 yellow rectangular silicone mold, 19.5 cm x 8.5 cm x 1 cm high (7.7" x 3.3" x .4")
- 1 green star shaped silicone mold, 14 cm x 14 cm x 1 cm high (5.5" x 5.5" x .4")
- 1 orange heart shaped silicone mold, 15.5 cm x 13 cm x 1 cm high (6.1" x 5.1" x .4")
- 1 black heat-resistant nylon spatula, 19.5 cm long x 7 cm max. width (7.7" x 2.8")
Wash the silicone molds before using for the first time. A frying pan that's bigger than 26 cm (11 inches) is recommended, for ease in turning. Use the included spatula for the best results.
When making tamagoyaki, fill the molds halfway up, let the bottom firm up a bit, then fill up with more egg for the best results. When making pancakes, turn them using the spatula molds and all.
