Presentation
The Makie Bento boxes feature gorgeous lids that are decorated in shades of gold and silver with traditional makie (picture scroll) motifs. The designs are executed to the highest standard by the skilled artisans of Ishikawa. Not only are they beautiful to look at, they are very tactile too, just like the hand-cut designs on traditional lacquereware.
Please choose from:
- Ryu, a deep red box with a mythical dragon (ryu). Ryu are supposed to bring you strength and luck!
- Karakusa, a black box decorated with a traditional Japanese abstract pattern called karakusa
