We love these beautiful Ceramic Knives for preparing food for bentos. They are available in two blade lengths and handle colors: 7.5 cm (2.95" ) long or 13 cm (5.12") long, with Maple or Walnut handles. Please choose one from the pulldown menu when ordering.
Features
The Ceramic knives are made of fire-hardened ceramic zirconium oxide, a material that is second only to diamond in hardness. This means that the blades retain their original razor sharpness for 10 times longer than ordinary steel knives. The blades impart no metallic taste to the food, making them perfect for cutting fresh fruit and vegetables, especially acidic ones such as lemons and tomatoes. And of course, since they are not made of metal, the blades don't corrode or rust! The natural wood composite handles are very comfortable to hold and are water resistant.
The small 7.5cm (2.95") blade is suited to fine, detail work such as cutting delicate shapes out of vegetables or sausages for your bento, and the longer 13cm (5.12") is a great for everyday chopping and slicing.
