A balan or baran is a small piece of plastic film or other material that is placed in a bento box to keep certain foods separate from each other, to prop up wobbly foods, or just to add color. You may be familiar with balan already as 'sushi grass' in takeout sushi boxes. 

Balan Panda consists of 18 assorted balan or plastic film dividers (6 each of 3 different designs, all with a cute panda theme) They are perfect for decorating your bento box, or for keeping the flavors of different foods from mingling. 

Balan Panda are microwave safe, so bento boxes using them can be re-heated safely  (at maximum 600W up to 3 minutes).
