Animal Onigiri Box

The cute-yet-weird (so very Japanese) Animal Onigiri Box is meant to meant to hold a single onigiri or rice ball in the top compartment, with a small portion of food in the lower compartment. It can be a side box for a larger bento box...or just a cute box to hold your accessories, office supplies or candy!
The Animal Onigiri Box is available on 4 colors and designs - please choose your favorite from the pulldown menu when ordering:

- Zo (Baby Elephant), in sky blue

- Ko buta (Little Pig), in pink

- Layon (Little Lion), in orange

- Kuro Neko (Black Cat), in black

Each box has an illustration of the specified little animal's...well, behind, signed by the artist (Gutchy). If you look closely at the shape of the box itself, you may notice that it's it's shaped like a little baby's bottom. Or, it's sort of heart-shaped if you turn it the other way round. Either way, it's hard not to exclaim "kawaii! (cute!)" when you hold this box in your hands.

Two compartments. 
Total capacity: 250 ml (upper compartment: 150ml, lower compartment: 100). 
Measurements: 90 × 85 × 60 mm (3.54" x 3.35" x 2.26"). 

The inner lid for the lower compartment makes it virtually leak-proof!

Composition and care

The box lid is made of ABS-PET. The box (lower compartment) is made of polypropylene; the inner lid is made of polyethylene.

The lower compartment box is microwave safe, with both lids removed. Hand washing is recommended.

Made in Japan, in Ishikawa prefecture by Hakoya.
